Dating Elena version 1.0 is out!

Story:

This pretty much is the first chapter to a story where Alex, the protagonist, goes on a date with his friend Elena, and convinces her to try a super secret muscle-growth serum.

Features:

• Many custom UI elements (quickmenu, text-boxes, inventory, conversation system, jukebox, image gallery, etc).
• More than 20 animated sprites, most of them FMG-related.

I poured a lot of time and energy into polishing this version as much as I could, but it's only a starting point. I intend to keep improving the game in the future.

If you become one of my followers on Patreon, you will be helping me complete this game and maybe other games!
As followers, your support and comments will allow me to narrow down what to improve, where to bring the game to, and you'll enable me to work on more things.

Why you should follow Gobbo:

If you're a fan of FMG, you might've played StrongGirl's Visual Novel (https://stronggirls.itch.io/stronggirls-fmg-visual-novel). And if you've been following the development of that game, you might've seen my name pop-up from time to time, in relation to some minor contributions I've made here and there, whether it be code, UI elements, features, or some minor narrative consultancy, I left my mark. StrongGirl is a friend of mine and we've been collaborating a lot. He inspired me to work on my own game, and I've been striving to offer something of quality. Every feature I made for his visual novel, I would keep improving and use into mine.

What's to come:

I already plan to add a prologue, several chapters, new characters, more conversations, more features... this is far from the end. Just a foundation.

Smartphone support:

There is currently no plans to provide support for Android / smartphones.
If you want to use apps like RenPlay, JoyPlay or similar apps, do it at your own discretion.

Disclaimer about Generative-AI:

Although generative-AI was used to produce the sprites and musics of the game, nothing was used without a decent amount of manual editing. None of it is perfect, but nothing was used straight out of AI-generation either. If I can afford it, I'd rather rely on human-artists.

I refuse to believe this is your first game. Ain't no way. I was hesitant to drop $5 since I never heard of you but I don't regret my "stupid decision" one bit. It's about as short as I expected for a 'chapter one' but the amount of quality packed into that short length adds way more value to its weight, even if it is light at the moment.

Normally I can be pretty thorough on criticism but in this case, I'd have to go back and actively look for nitpicks to offer any. Very well done.

Great, this is a new level of visual novel, so many cool new features. Except I'm not sure about the girl's voice, the voice is like older and doesn't fit the character

will you make it free?

Perhaps tag this game with FMG? I usually find new games using the tag system, but lucky found this cause I was following OmniOkami who reviewed it.

Great stuff! This is one of a kind in this "genre".

Ma recommandation

Woop, emergency fix to the Chapter Select system to fix an issue only appearing if you had no saves for the game.

Thank you, fastest fixes on the whole Wild West.
Also, Itch has useful DevLog feature for such messages🤓

Indeed. I've noticed it was there, but I wasn't sure if it was worth making a DevLog for one small fix. ^^
